(Sunday's post has the weekly DVD deals, including Pixar, Masterpiece Mystery, and Magic School Bus. You'll also find Miyazaki, Men in Black, and a lot of AAA video games, including Halo 4, Dishonored, Skyrim, Hitman, Madden, Mass Effect, FIFA, and more. Going back to Friday's big post, there are a lot of active Kindle and video game deals remaining there, as well as links back to the previous week's posts (with, if nothing else, still-active Kindle ebook deals every day).)

The Deal of the Day is on the Kindle Fire HD 8.9"! Amazon's offering $50 off any model with the coupon code "FIREHD89" (which is also mentioned at the top of that page; it's hard to miss). That chops the price for the basic model to $249.99!

The Kindle Daily Deal to go with that is Ruth Downie's Persona Non Grata: A Novel of the Roman Empire for $.99. If you're averse to reading the third book in a series, the first one, Medicus, is $1.99.

The Kid's Kindle Deal of the Day is The Story of Snow: The Science of Winter's Wonder for $1.99.

The DVD Deal of the Day is Farscape: The Complete Series for $40.99 (73% off).

I've got no real interest in Ted, but the unrated version is going for $9.99 (67% off) on preorder on DVD.

For a pre-order I am interested in, Futurama: Volume 7 is $14.99 on DVD, $19.99 on Blu-Ray (both 50% off).

Lawless is $14.99 (63% off) for a Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital combo pack, or $9.99 (67% off) for just the DVD copy.

The recent 21 Jump Street movie is $14.69 (59% off) for Blu-Ray/Digital, and $10 (68% off) for the DVD/digital copy.

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the animated one) is $9.99 (60% off) on Blu-Ray.

When I mentioned the Miyazaki sale over the weekend, I totally failed to mention the rest of the Big Disney Sale, with 35-55% off things like Lady and the Tramp, Cars, Cinderella, Secret of the Wings, John Carter, various Muppet and PotC items, and literally hundreds of other items.

More bargains: Crazy, Stupid, Love on DVD/digital is $7.99 (60% off). Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer is $6.99 (62% off) on DVD. And the original Christmas in Connecticut (the one with Stanwyck and Greenstreet, not the remake directed by Arnie) is $4 (60% off) on DVD.

In video games, The Amazing Spider-Man is $29.99 (40% off) for PS3/Xbox.

The Skylanders Giants Starter Pack is $64.99 (13% off) for Xbox/PS3/Wii.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for the Vita is $19.99 (50% off)! Ditto the Vita version of LittleBigPlanet (although it's backordered, so you'll need the More Buying Choices option on the right).

Also backordered but cheap: Sorcery for PS3/Move for $9.99 (50% off).

The Logitech Optical Gaming Mouse G400 with High-Precision 3600 DPI Optical Engine is $27.99 (44% off, about $5 below other sellers).

In digital downloads, the deals on Hotline Miami and Sine Mora remain, and joining them are Serious Sam 3 Jewel of the Nile for $2.50 (75% off), Hitman: Absolution for $29.99 (40% off), FIFA Soccer '13 for $19.99 (50% off), and the EVE Online starter pack for $4.99 (75% off). All of these games come with the standard $5 download credit in January, too.

In books (or manga, at least), the 13-volume Death Note Box Set is $58.43 (42% off).

Finally, the Brother LS2125I Easy-To-Use Lightweight Basic 10-Stitch Sewing Machine is $65.99 (49% off, and a good $20 below what you'll find elsewhere).

If Gail wasn't being facetious in her response tweet here (following up on her firing from Batgirl), I hate you more than I ever have.
