We're back! Wifi went out at the relatives in Florida, which meant we had to live like we were in the pre-civilized times of 2004 or so. I swear, we came so close to starting trash can fires like in the opening scenes of Chris Columbus's adaptation of Rent. It was awful, I tell you (Columbus's movie, that is; we got by reasonably well).
Have mostly vegged for the last two days, taking care of some household stuff. And tonight's a house concert by the awesome Rebecca Loebe!
Anyway, a few new Amazon Deals:
The Blu-Ray Deal of the Week is Rise of the Guardians for 50-58% off in any format (including DVD, so don't ask me why it's the BRDotW). When Elayna heard that, she practically dove for the Amazon gift card she got for the holidays to order it (she's one of about ten folks who saw it in the theatres, and she loved it).
The Kid's Deal of the Week offers 50-75% off the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies on DVD and Blu-Ray.
The TV Deal of the Week is on the complete run of The Twilight Zone for 60-63% off on DVD or Blu-Ray.
Pre-orders of the two-disc Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital combo of Jack Reacher are $19.99 (50% off). In case you're wondering if the current Tom Cruise movie is bombing, this is probably a sign.
X-Men: First Class is only $4.99 (75% off) on DVD. Ditto Rio, and the Blu-Ray version of 3:10 to Yuma.
Other cheap Blu-Rays: Terminator 2: Judgment Day (Skynet Edition) is $5 (67% off). Supercop is $3.99 (50% off). Where the Wild Things Are is $4.99 (67% off). And X2: X-Men United is $6.99 (65% off).
In video games, downloads of Far Cry 2 for the PC are $2.49 (and net you the $5 game credit in January, which is tomorrow).
Code of Princess for the Nintendo DS is $29.99 (25% off).
Sleeping Dogs for the Xbox is $29.02 (42% off).
Persona 4 Arena is $21.99 (63% off) for both Xbox and PS3.
The Kindle Daily Deal is Chad Harbach's The Art of Fielding for $1.99. The Kid's Daily Deal is Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children for $1.99. and the Sci-Fi Daily Deal is Jasper Fforde's The Eyre Affair for $2.99!
In MP3s, the self-titled album from The Lumineers is $3.99.
When the aliens come to destroy our planet because the success of Train could not possibly happen in a world that's meant to continue to exist, we'll have much to answer for. In the meantime, California 37 is $5.
Finally, in kitchen goods, the Nesco/American Harvest FD-80 Square-Shaped Dehydrator is $59.94 (25% off).
