Honestly? Because it would undercut the impact of the episode. And DC Comics might not give a shit about constantly doing that, but the writers here seem to take things seriously.

Yes it did. I had some warning as I read the actor/actress (trying to avoid spoilers) was going to be starring in a new pilot for a different network.

I'd read the same thing, but most every other place was using that as "proof" that the show was pretty much cancelled. As much as what happened sucked, I'm glad to see that the actor being in a new pilot doesn't *necessarily* mean that the show's cancelled....it's been getting really good.

True, but I usually take that news with a grain of salt (especially since pilots are often cast with folks who are on shows on the ratings bubble, with the pilots getting re-shot when actors are unavailable).

True. Of course, they've now killed four characters in five weeks, so they're running out of plotlines to trim. Other than the Weavers, I'm not sure there's anyone left who wasn't in the original episode (counting John Henry/Cromartie as the same physical being).

Man, I'm glad I get to watch this show again, even if just for this season's last three episodes. (I missed the other Friday-aired eps 'cause of BSG, but I'd watched the first and the first half of the second seasons.)

I'm in the opposite boat; I missed the Monday eps because of a conflict with House (although I've caught some on Hulu).
