The MLB.com in-game video highlights -- which were free all last year -- are now a part of "Gameday Premium." Meaning I can pay $20 for the privilege of seeing three or four video highlights a night.

Or, I can not spend the money, and use a much less resource-intensive site to follow the game, since that was the only reason to stick with the MLB site. http://sports.yahoo.com here I come. Along with Sportscenter for the highlights.

I spend the $15 for the Gameday Audio, so I can upgrade to the Premium for an additional $5. I really haven't decided if it is worth it.

I agree it was a lousy thing to do; those video highlights were really cool. But, the Gameday applet seems to be a heck of a lot slower this year than it was last year, so not only is it not free anymore, it's worse overall..
