This is a really devastating year for a lot of shows with the networks demanding cuts in budgets due to huge drops in advertising dollars. I'm fully expecting L&O:SVU to come back without Stabler and Benson or announce that it is the last season with them. I'm also expecting L&O:TOS to have some major changes because I'm sure that Sam Waterston is making a pretty good buck after so long (probably S. Epatha Merkerson, too) and I suspect by Jeremy Sisto and Anthony Anderson were given higher than average salaries when they first started.
$500,000 per episode on Samantha Who? Most likely would have meant dropping at least three co-stars or going to multi-camera, which I don't think would work for the show. It's too bad. It was one of the few really funny comedies on TV.
