"Hoffman holds the record for portraying the greatest age span of a single character, playing Jack Crabb from the age of 17 to 121, a difference of 104 years. "

From the Wikipedia article on Little Big Man.

Wouldn't Chirstopher Lambert hold that record? Or Charlton Heston (in The Ten Commandments)? Or Gary Oldman (in Bram Stoker's Dracula)?

Perhaps they mean "for a person with a non-fantastical lifespan"

Or people who actually age, which vampires do not (nor immortals after the Quickening).

I love the scene where Charlton Heston as Moses is being carried away and he yells "But Mana is People!!"

How much subjective time (in millennia) has passed for Captain Jack Harkness since his first appearance in Doctor Who and his most recent appearance in Torchwood?

Well, as 'Twilight' fans have told me, once you're immortal, you're that age forever. No way are you 100 years-old in a 17 year-old body. No, you're 17 forever.

So Lambert and Oldman are out. Heston, though... hm.

Moses was totally a sparkle-vampire.

Honey, the term is "sparklepire." I can't have this discussion with you until you get your terms right.

He was in both Endgame and The Source, but I don't think there were any Methos-centric flashbacks, so I guess you can't really count him as a film character in that sense, since we only saw him in modern times.

Who needs a password? It's not a locked entry.

Yeah, I know. But I've got one, it's already saved in Firefox, so I might as well use it.

Perhaps they mean greatest age span realistically portrayed? None of the examples you give really change that much in terms of physical appearance, even though they lead very long lives.

The wife of the Bicentennial man in, "Bicentennial Man" was human who lived well past 140 before she told hubby she wanted to throw in the towel. And she aged during the process (although not as much as she normally would or she would not have lived that long). Also, little bit of trivia, I cannot spell Bicentennial, but apparently Firefox knows how. Sweet.
