Amazon: Free Kindle books, $6 Xbox game, slow cooker, more

In NYC this weekend, my mom asked me where to find a list of all the free Kindle books, so you can find the free commercial books here. The public domain ones are in each category of Kindle books, sorted by price.

ETA: thornsilver notes that the Kindle Bestseller List often contains freebies, as well.

The Xbox 360 version of Sega Superstars Tennis is the video game Deal of the Day at $5.98! Note that only the XB360 version is on sale.

The MP3 Deal of the Day is Cobra Starships Hot Mess for $3.99. This includes the remix of "Good Girls Go Bad."

The Free MP3 of the Day is A Whole Lot Better by Brendon Benson.

Finally, for anyone looking for a slow cooker (or looking for an extra), the Hamilton Beach 4-Quart Slow Cooker is down to $17.99 (36% off, with free shipping if you have Prime or bump your order over $25). I've been tempted by this one for a while (even though we already have one) as A) it'd be nice to have two, and B) it's got a Keep Warm option and a crock that can go in the dishwasher.

For free commercial books it makes sense to check out Kindle bestseller list. They periodically let new ones out and I have noticed that some of them are not on that list.

And just in case this has not been mentioned before baen.com has quite a number of sci-fi books for free in Kindle format.

Oh, yeah, I'm very familiar with those, but my mom isn't likely to care too much about them, alas. I was looking mainly for links for someone like her who isn't comfortable with actually loading files manually yet.
