There are stages to being a fan of bad teams: Anger first, then numbness, then irrational hope, then renewed anger, then realization, then finally this resting place of compromise where fans will either pull back their support or mock their own teams or call for change or simply decide to enjoy the small triumphs.

As a Mets and Jets fan, yeah, I totally get that.

Honestly I've nevr had the stages. :P I get excited for wins on either of my teams but love them no matter what, season after season. Win, lose, or Heidi. :P

Unlike the Charger fans here. Holy crap. Never seen worse fair weather fans. They smack talk big time, fly flags on cars and homes, wear Charger T's as long as they are winning. Along comes the first loss and people go batshit and curse the team, the coaches and you here a lot of "Chargers SUCK!!". The hell?
