SNL just got a little more sucky

SNL has fired Casey Wilson and Michaela Watkins.

I'm pissed.

Wilson is the most underused talent on the show (see this for proof). When she's allowed to be funny, she can be great. Watkins was a breakout star last year, and given how prominent her characters have been, I figured she was about as safe as anyone.

Given the recent hiring of two replacements (same article), and since neither actress could possibly have been amongst the higher paid folks on the show, I'd damned well better read a story soon about Watkins and Wilson beating up Lorne Michaels's pet schnauzer or something. Otherwise, this is dumb and annoying.

I was a little more surprised to hear Don Pardo was finally retiring, but a) I suppose it was nigh on time and b) I've only barely been getting back to the show after years away.

Those guys sure were funny all those years.

Damn, I just tried to scratch those words off my monitor.

The people they kept on SNL, that sucked balls for decades astounds me. And decent talent seems to get squeezed out.
