Kitchenaid mixers.

I firmly believe in KitchenAid mixers - I know they're fantastic and I have a bit of a crush on the concept of owning one (they're so "sexy"). However, I use my great-grandmother's Sunbeam (or is it Oster? they're the same company now) with speeds labelled by what you're mixing (cake mix is one setting, as is egg whites) and two bowl settings, for the small or large glass bowl. It also has a light underneath the standing part so you can see what's in the bowl. I can't justify even a really discounted KitchenAid when the older model is still so good (and I have no counter-space or need for 2, and no storage unit except my closets).

Yeah, the thing about stand mixers in general is that they're monsters; they take forever to die, and work so well, that it's hard to justify the cost of replacing one until you need to.

Can I please opt out of your Amazon.com deals posting filter by dint of not being eligible as a UKian? I am merely scrolling past them and can continue to do so but some of these posts are pretty long.

Unfortunately, I don't use a filter for these post, and without friends-locking it, I don't know of any way to filter them. I am trying to both limit their lengths and keep them to no more than one a day, to reduce general scrolling-strain.
