A Scotch MegaEgg

Scotch eggs were quite possibly my favorite thing about the GA Renaissance Faire.

This takes those eggs to the next level. And then adds bacon.

That's a gross lump. A Scotch Egg is an elegant, handable snack.

The bacon is an interesting idea, though..

but breading?? horrors!

But they bake it, not fried. Where's the fun in that?

That was my thought. I have to agree with featheredfrog on the snack factor of a true scotch egg, but I just made my first batch last week, so I'm biased. Mine were breaded as well, thin layer, but I've never seen one made elsewhere or a recipe without breadcrumbs included.

Next time I'll also devil them.
