This year it's not just the venue, but the fact that I haven't got the money for the train trip into town, so I can't do ALA either.

The fact that it's constantly up against the Hunt is frustrating to me. Between that and the fact that the Sci-Fi Movie Marathon is always up against Boskone, I feel like there are all these great geek events double-booked against each other, while there are months-long stretches in which nothing happens.

Several months ago I seriously considered trying to make it out for this one (s00j was just one reason) but the craziness of the past half-year distracted me enough that I couldn't plan for it. And right now it's more important for me to get more settled and trained in my current job than to go to a con. But the taste I got in 2008 at Pi-Con: I'm tastin' that again. *nods like 'Song*
