Stephen Baxter will finish Terry Pratchett's unfinished science fiction novel.

I can only assume that this will be both the funniest and most depressing thing ever written, offering boundless optimism and absolutely no hope whatsoever for humanity.

Hmm...so Baxter is taking on PTerry's unfinished works is he? I guess someone, somewhere, figured that handing him something like that might result in a book that doesn't cause rounds of suicides.
