Party Down and Gravity have both been cancelled.

Gravity was insanely flawed, but ended on a huge cliffhanger, and I like closure. Also, Krysten Ritter was so damned good on it (and Ivan Sergei was also a blast). Ving Rhames, on the other hand, was completely wasted on the show.

Party Down was simply hysterical, and deserved better. Not that Rob Thomas ever really catches a break (other than getting ABC to try Cupid again, which turned out to be an awful idea).

On the plus side, Starz now goes back to being a network with nothing to offer other than Torchwood reruns that most fans will just download when the episodes air in the UK. So no reason to have them programmed into your Tivo favorites.

Actually season 4 of Torchwood is being done BY Starz and then shown on the BBC.

I'm not seeing that from the story you link to. It says that Starz will debut the show in the US, and BBC will do so in the UK, meaning that the first appearance in each country will be on those networks (as opposed to BBCAmerica, as in the past), but I'm not seeing anything saying that the US viewers will get it first.

"Starz Entertainment has acquired U.S. television rights to the next installment of the BBC's audience sensation Torchwood, developed and produced by BBC Worldwide Productions. Starz will debut the 10-episode series exclusively in the U.S., and BBC One will debut it in the U.K., both in summer, 2011. This is a co-production between Starz, BBC Cymru Wales and BBC Worldwide, and BBC Worldwide will distribute the show outside the U.S. The deal was jointly announced today by Starz, LLC President and CEO Chris Albrecht and BBC Worldwide Productions EVP Jane Tranter."

It seems to be at most a week off ala Dr Who, but earlier reports had Starz airing it first. Fun to watch that shift. But remember when the BBC was going to release dvds of s1 of the new Who and THEN SciFi was going to air it? Before that deal got blowed up.
