You just cost yourself at least $9 (or whatever horrid rate you're charging), and will likely make me think twice about patronizing you (even though your Harvard Square and Boston Common locations are two of the more convenient locations for me).

(And yeah, I know that they're crying all the way to the bank over that $9. But I also buy popcorn and stuff, so it's more like this cost them $35, given current concession rates.)

ETA: See Green's comments here. For now, I'll take a wait-and-see approach towards AMC.

Nearly all of the ticket price to see a film goes to the film's distributor. The Theatre makes it profits on the concessions. Cult films don't draw a lot of people.

Well, actually, if they replace it with a more popular movie... :)

You're paying that much? Thats why we go on Wednesdays. $5.50 ticket prices and free small popcorn with mom's movie watcher's card...

So really, AMC just cost themselves not much at all.

Making sure you saw this: Adam Green on the film being pulled. His response is below the original Moviefone post.

God damn it. I was planning to catch this soon after spending time with Danielle on Friday and being more sold than ever.

I just told her I'll buy a blu-ray and hijack a theater.

I found Hatchet to be a derivative piece of crap. The fact that it got a sequel in the theaters is a minor miracle.
