So, did any count how many times the word "frak" was uttered on last week's CSI? And they still managed to not have Katee Sackhoff use the word once.

Between this and Eureka's bit with James Callis referring his vision of a "tall leggy blonde, slinky red dress," this has been a good year for BSG meta-jokes.

I think "Sackhoff" sounds more euphemistic than "frak."

I'm watching Caprica now and I am struck once again by the lack of imagination they have (in both BSG and Caprica) with cursing. THere's "frak". There's also "frak". There's... "frak". Oh yeah, there's "frak".

At least in Caprica, the Taurons have some non-frakking curses in the Tauron language. Pity the poor Capricans though, who only know how to say "frak."

Whatever happened to 'Feldercarb' and some of the other more creative verbage they could have stolen from the first series rather than only Frak.

Its like someone saw the BG movie (the pilot) and some single paragraph episode descriptions and decided they could do it all differently and gritty and modern and totally forgot the context and interesting bits.

At least they didn't bring in that robot dog, and I don't think there was a Cute Adorable Rugrat to get all sentimental about.

I just miss the disco haircuts and hot chicks with low slung gun belts.

There are those of us who have used Frak since around 1979/80... and who found the modern remake show nothing like the original and should have been done under a totally different name and drop the references that attempted to link it to the original.

Funny how this is almost precisely my take on the Michael Bay Transformers movies.

I agree on that point too.

I really hate the 'Hollywood remake syndrome' and what it does to most things. Rarely is a film/tv show remade better than the movie/tv show or even equal to it.

Sometimes the can add a nifty idea, or a 'scene we always wanted' but generally they usually make it into a slick bit of trash.
