yendi(Reminder: Amazon's been running deals all week. Yesterday featured Mad Men, Eureka, True Blood, Community, and lots of DVDs. Wednesday's Post has box sets, House, Fringe, Smallville, Futurama, Burn Notice, and Ally McBeal. Tuesday's post, with lots of $3.99 DVDs, as well as The Princess Bride, Lie to Me, HIMYM, Supernatural, and more, is still worth checking out, as is Monday's post with Blu-Ray deals, Glee, Corpse Bride, and a $3 MP3 credit (which remains one of the best Amazon BF deals)).
The core deals today are the Lightning Deals, and there are simply too many to keep track of. Hit that page every hour or so for new ones (alas, some great ones have already expired). They'll have everything from gift books (the 60 Years of Peanuts book) to vacuums to cookware to DVDs (Season 1 of the Vampire Diaries is $12.99 as I write, the complete Lost is $99.99, Dark Knight on Blu-Ray is $4.99, and later deals include Dexter for $14.99 a season, 2 Fast 2 Furious for $2, and Casino Royale for $1.99), to a 2nd-gen Kindle for $99 to the God of War games.
There haven't been a ton of great kitchen items up for sale this year, but my trusty Calphalon 12-inch everyday pan is back down to $39.99 (76% off, although it's really a $25 price drop over most stores, plus the free shipping). It's still the best piece of cookware I've ever had.
Fallout 3 and Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3 are $9.99 each (50% off).
World of Warcraft is $4.99 for the standard edition, $9.99 for the Battlechest.
3D Dot Game Heroes for the PS3 is $20 (50% off).
In newer games, Fable III is $39.99 for the Xbox360 (33% off), Time Crisis: Blazing Storm is $31.99 (36% off) for the PS3, and Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is $22.99 for both the PS3 and Xbox360 (43% off).
The Lord of the Rings movies are under $5 on DVD, and $7.99 a pop on Blu-Ray.
The ridiculously under-appreciated remake of The Crazies is down to $6.99 (77% off).
Other cheap movies not mentioned in previous posts: 500 Days of Summer ($5.99), Dear John ($5.99), Live Free or Die Hard ($3.99), Bride Wars ($5), Killers ($5.99), Monsters vs Aliens ($5), The Ugly Truth ($5), Julie and Julia ($5.99), It's Complicated ($5.99), Legion ($5), and Superbad on Blu-Ray ($7.99) (but check those previous posts, as there's a good twenty or so other movies under $5).
