Because they just killed up to 39% of the world's spam.

Of course, you can start hating again, say, as soon as you find your trip to The Onion disrupted by a huge flash-driven MS ad for IE9 that slows your computer to a crawl*, but in the meantime, they do get props for this.

*Of course, if Google Chrome offered proper flash-blocking -- the ability to prevent it from loading, as opposed to simply attempting to hide it after it's loaded -- this also wouldn't be an issue.

Because Micro$oft has a long standing policy of taking out any and all competition... only MS is allowed to spam you.

Just disable Flash and enable it only when there's something you actually want (i.e. hardly ever...)

Plus of course, 95% of the zombie PCs out there were compromised because MS didn't bother to learn the lessons of the 1960s before writing the software of the 1990s.

I do this, but I do need Flash often enough for work that I sometimes forget. And it doesn't help that even disabled and after a restart, the Chrome Flash plugin is still taking up 62MB of real system memory and 11% of my processor (until I just force the sucker to quit).
