I love this wonderful version of "Putting It Together" (I mean, how often do you see Carol Burnett and John Barrowman in the same musical number?), but I love it even more for the first top comment: "Whoa, these guys must be a hardcore Rarity fans!"

Yeah, it's got a typo, but it still cracked me up.

I actually saw this on Broadway. I didn't realize it was John Barrowman until now!

I bought that on DVD (my wife is a huge Sondheim fan) before we knew who John Barrowman was. We didn't recognize him when Captain Jack was introduced on Doctor Who or got his own spin off... But then, the next time we watched "Putting It Together"... OMGWTFBBQ!

I was going to say the same thing - I have it on DVD and had no idea it was John Barrowman until now.

I'm a Broadway and show tunes newbie, so I have to ask...What is this from?

All I know is that it was utterly delightful, and thank you for sharing :).

"Sunday in the Park With George"--but this one is a variation.

Yendi, you do realize who Rarity is, correct? And if so, you do realize that saying so will out you as one of the bronies?

(...not that I'd know anything about that, no no not me my wife got me hooked on the damned show...)

Oh, I stay away from .chan as well. There's a lot of MLP discussion on Journalfen, though, and my wife is pretty tuned into that.

I'm actually impressed by how much homage they put into those episodes. I've caught a few Rocketeer and Benny Hill references just off the top of my head.

Bronies is pretty specifically for pony dudes on 4chan. It's starting to mean "any dude who watches the show" but it's still kind of a specific thing.

So my wife tells me. I apologize.

Oh, no worries! It's a term that's becoming so widely known that it's sort of inevitably going to expand to "any dude who watches the show" but ehhh. They get touchy about it, I guess.

Ha, thank you! Jeff had said one of the songs was a Sondheim pastiche, but I didn't know what he meant! Excellent.

I have no Rarity icons. I need to fix that.

The MLP icons you do have are fantastic, though.

Yes, I went and peeked. :)

Thanks! I didn't make any of them, but I have links if people need them.
