A few Amazon Deals: Criterion, Cantinflas, DVDs, Farscape

Amazon has the Criterion editions of Night on Earth and Breathless for 57% off (under $19 each). They've got similar deals for the Criterion Blu-Ray versions of The Red Shoes, Topsy-Turvy, Blow-Out, and The Mikado.

Seven Cantinflas movies are going for $7.49 a pop (50% off).

The current Mega Movie Sale has a bunch of good deals on things like Hellboy, Leon: The Professional, Persepolis, Snatch, Metropolis (the anime), and more Cuba Gooding films than anyone knew existed.

Finally, the complete Farscape (which is not actually complete, as it's missing the Peacekeeper Wars, which will run you $9.69 more)) is $49.99 (67% off).

Y'know, several years ago, you made a post informally asking your readership how many Criterion titles everyone had in their collections. My sheepish answer of "Um...none..." led me to shame myself into fixing that. And now my number is solidly into double digits (with corresponding expenditure), my thumbs begin twitching every time I see that cockeyed "C" on the spine, and I'm considering just going ahead and memorizing all the catalog numbers just to save time. It's all your fault, Lipkin! *shakes fist*
