The latest sci-fi mind meld, which includes nifty folks like [livejournal.com profile] csecooney and [livejournal.com profile] la_marquise_de, talks about which fantasy novels would make for good TV viewing.

Shockingly, no one said Xanth or Gor.

The fact that I immediately go to the sarcastic options first is probably why no one ever asks me to participate in online mind melds.

I think Gor would work only on PPV. ;-)
I do like the final entry of the article where the author & screenwriter explains what would and wouldn't work. His (only) choice was the Locke Lamora duology.

Would it terrify you to know that not only did they try to develop Xanth for TV, but Javier Grillo-Marxuach was tasked to do it?
