1 cup of plain (not vanilla!) Green yogurt.

1/2-3/4 cup of blueberries

1 packet of Truvia

1 heaping teaspoon of cinnamon.

Stir them all together.

Low-calorie, lots of vitamins and other health benefits, easy to make, and filling. It's a good desert both for folks with diabetes, and people trying to lose weight (and thus doubly good for me). Obviously, you can adjust the ingredients as needed (not everyone loves cinnamon and blueberries as much as I do).

Toasted nuts are also a good addition. Walnuts are traditional, but I find pecans work well too. :)

Mmmmm..... or hazelnuts. I am on a total hazelnut kick right now. I think partly because the that's what the Salmon of Wisdom eats in Celtic mythology. *grin*

Mmm, hazelnuts are probably delicious too.

I am used to seeing honey on these "desserts," which is why I no longer eat them. The truvia addition is an interesting one. I wonder if it would work for me.

I am not a fan of stevia, either.

Truvia has a distinct taste. I'd be curious to hear if you like it. :)

I have a hard time with artificial sweeteners. They make me crave real ones, which is unhelpful. :)

Just doing the fruit+yogurt might be enough, really. I never thought about adding cinnamon and I do love cinnamon, so I might try that.

I had to look up Truvia. It appears it will be on the market in the UK later this year.

I generally do this for breakfast, only instead of adding sweetener, I use a little bit of Smucker's Low Sugar preserves.

I've never thought to use cinnamon in it. I should try that :)
