It's all a numbers game
Jul. 22nd, 2011 07:12 amGot my test results back. My A1C is at 6.0 (technically "normal," albeit at the very high end of normal). That's down from 6.5 two months ago and 7.5 three months ago. Diet and a small amount of metformin are helping.
My cholesterol is down from 234 to 155. My LDL is down from 163 ("high risk") to 89 ("desirable"), and my HDL is up to 48 from 45.
So, yay. Mind you, I also basically took yesterday off from working out (I try to get one or two days of rest every week) and went out for drinks with co-workers, but this was good incentive to get back to the gym this AM (no running outside for me; when it's 80 degrees at 5AM, that's just not an option).
