Amazingly, Breaking In has been renewed months after it had been canceled! There'd been hints this would happen -- the option extension was a big clue -- but this was still a pleasent surprise.

That means that two great comedies from this year -- the other is Happy Endings, quite possibly the funniest new show of the past year -- were given second chances in spite of underwhelming ratings. It's almost like an '80s flashback, in a good way.

(ETA: Also, LJ wouldn't let me make this post until I'd replaced the url at Deadline with a Tinyurl one. Seriously. They gave me a 320 error, which means they think I'm a spammer.)

I'm going to have to give Happy Endings another try. I watched a couple episodes and was very unimpressed. But all the praise I see from people I think of as having good taste makes me curious that I missed something...

Or I might wait until Season 2 or later like I did with Community and Parks & Rec...
