yendiMexican citizens attempting to improve their country: We need to be anonymous and pseudonymous on social networks so that we can report drug activity without threats of reprisals.
Unnamed writer and unnamed editor, not to mention thousands of comment trolls at sites like Slashdot, Boing Boing, and CNET: Fake names are teh evil!
Google Plus: No using our system unless you use your real name (and even then, your real name had better meet our standards, none of those wacky foreign characters, or lack of a surname, or anything that might resemble an actual word).
Facebook: Look! We give you Timeline, so people can really, really figure out everything you've been doing!
Mexican drug cartels: Bwahahahaha!
