I wonder what the overlap is between diaper-free families and co-sleeping families... or attachment method parenting.

The Disney message boards have a plethora of stories of people using drinking fountains at WDW as a "baby bidet"

GAG.

*shudder* See, I'm not a big fan of bottled water for a lot of reasons, but then there is this.

yeah I've known some people to try it on top of other Attachment Parenting trends. From what I've heard, the EC (Elimination Communication) works for SOME babies but not so good for others. It doesn't hasten potty-training and it doesn't really do anything for the kids, it just switches parents from changing diapers to hustling their kid to a toilet once they notices the "cues"

With "eliminations communication" it seems the parents are being trained by the children. As the mother of an eighteen-month-old daughter (who is in diapers, thankyouverymuch), all I can say is SERIOUSLY?

I did most of the attachment parenting thing, but this was too much even for me. I think EC is for parenting overachievers, LOL. Same with baby sign language. There comes a point when more is just "more." Is the kid really benefiting all that much? Not likely. Cosleeping is different though: it makes LESS work for the mom, especially if she's breastfeeding and/or the baby wakes up a lot at night.

It's training the parents rather than the kid. And the kid's gotta learn sooner or later anyway.

YES! I too think this is a method of parent training, lol. Especially since i have seen no evidence that it helps the child use the toilet independently any sooner.

Here we go with probably yet another 'why did they feel the need for that sign' opportunity in a public place.
