This. This forever.

Well, this and the fact that I can't seen in 3D on a day to day basis anyway.

3-D glasses give me a mild headache so I'll rarely bother with those showings. Plus the extra fee on the glasses "rental" is kind of bullshit. Still, I've been told there are a few movies that work better as 3-D. The Tron sequel. Hugo from what I've heard....

I can't watch 3-D movies. Something with my inner ear and sense of balance. Gives me a humongous headache. We can go watch movies together, in 2-D.

3D makes me physically ill and gives me a massive headache. Besides, I actually saw Avatar in both regular and 3D, and I definitely preferred the regular one, not just because of how 3D affects me, but the regular one was brighter and less gimmicky.

In with everybody else: 3-D makes my head hurt, full stop. I emerge feeling nauseous and cheated. I am perfectly happy to watch a movie in 2-D. There's no recorded instance in my life in which 3-D has increased my viewing pleasure, and it's really starting to annoy me that I can apparently look forward to never being able to see a "blockbuster"-type flick in the theatre again, unless I'm willing to pay extra to court a migraine.

For the most part, 3D doesn't generally enhance my experience, so I can usually take it or leave it.

That being said. Hugo was *brilliant*. Hugo did not feel like 3D was an add on or a gimmick. The movie...just was, and it was *beautiful*

Does not make my head hurt, but it is never really worth it. There were about 3 shots in Avatar where I could actually feel the difference that the 3D glasses made, and that five minutes was not worth an extra 8 dollars for my ticket. It is just never worth it.

See, I only go to the movies to see 3D or IMAX films. Everything else I can watch at home, on my comfy couch on my TV. I also only use discounted tickets.. I'm not sure if I'd pay full price.

I don't think I've seen any 3D movies in the past ten years or so. However, this is exactly how I feel about most modern animation.

While I agree with the general sentiment, I'd make an exception for CAVE OF FORGOTTEN DREAMS. Basically, when directors who otherwise hate 3D say, "Okay, fine, this has to be in 3D," and then, Roger Ebert, who otherwise hates 3D, watches it and says, "Okay, fine, this had to be in 3D", I'm willing to consider that, in THOSE CASES ONLY, 3D might be worth it.

The only two movies that fit into this category, so far, are CAVE OF FORGOTTEN DREAMS by Werner Hertzog, and, I've heard, HUGO, by Martin Scorsese. I can attest to CAVE personally, but I haven't yet seen HUGO, so I don't know that from personal experience.

I was about to say that Cave of Forgotten Dreams was the only movie I've seen where I thought the 3D added something to the movie when the power went out and now I see you've beaten me to it. I haven't seen Hugo yet either but I've also heard good things about it.

When Scorcese talked about the 3D for Hugo when he was on The Daily Show, he mentioned he did not want it to be a trick or a gimmick; he wanted it to be a part of the storytelling. I am interested in seeing it, because I would like to see 3D used as a storytelling tool.

Generally can't watch 3D because of the headaches. The Muppets 3D is short enough to where the headache never quite catches. Plus, at certain points, you don't need the glasses, so I just take them off.

Harold and Kumar in 3d was good, only because most of the 3d effects were punchlines themselves.
