Well in it's defense, it has been designated the "least crappy" attempt to remake Texas Chainsaw Massacre

It's not even the best of those (the remake starring Jessica Biel was better, and TCMIII might have been, too), and if it weren't for TNG, this would probably be the worst entry in the series.
