Mid-week Amazon Deals: Slashers, Addams Family, Ray Bradbury, more

Thanks to a Monday holiday, it hardly feels like a Wednesday, but all evidence suggests that it is.

The Blu-Ray Deal of the Week is on a bunch of Collector's Editions of classic horror flicks at 50-70% off. Choices include Prison, From Beyond, Grindhouse, The Burning, Halloween (the not-so-classic remake), and Terror Train. All but the Halloween remake are worth owning, although Grindhouse is a mixed bag (Planet Terror, the fake trailers, and the first half of Death Proof are all worth owning, but the second half of DP is some of Tarantino's worst work).

Related, the Blu-Ray of the remake of Maniac (which I still haven't seen) is $10.96 (63% off), and helping keep Elijah Wood off the streets.

The Kids Deal of the Week is Beetlejuice: The Complete Animated Series for $34.49 (66% off).

The TV Deals of the Week are The Addams Family: The Complete Series for $23.99 (66% off) and Thriller: The Complete Series for $53.99 (64% off). Both series are eminently worth owning.

The other TV Deal of the Week is on The Sopranos: The Complete Series for $129.99 (54% off).

Although it's not an official Deal of the Week, you can also nab Ray Bradbury Theater: The Complete Series for $7.64 (62% off).

And finally, in video games, Heavy Rain: Director's Cut for the PS3 is $9.99 (66% off). Note that because Amazon is backordered, you'll need to look on the right side of the page for that deal.

I have the Addams Family but feel like I almost need to buy it on principle. This is what comes of moral relativism and a liberal education ;P
