Two reasons I want the Mets to sign Granderson

(Aside from the on-field potential, of course.)

1. He became a Braves fan because the Cubs game kept preempting Saved By the Bell. I actually first started hating on the Yankees because their games were always preempting my afternoon cartoons on WPIX growing up.

2. He was a fan of Junkyard Dog, the first wrestler I was ever a huge fan of.

Curtis Granderson is awesome both on and off the field and I've love to see him with the Mets; I've hated having him play for the Yankees.

He's always a great interview. And he always gives post-game interviews to FOX Sports Net North (cable home of the Minnesota Twins) when the Twins lose to a team he's on and manages to say interesting things about the game as well as kind things about the Twins (even when it's hard to find good things about the Twins).

And his parents are teachers and he always says such good stuff about education and reading and teachers and stuff like that.

I hadn't know about his education background. That makes him even more awesome!

Junkyard Dog was just the best. I had a small obsession with wrestling when I was 14/15 and he was my very favorite.

JYD was the first wrestler I followed, in no small part because of his use of Queen's "Another One Bits the Dust" as his entrance music.
