So according to this article, Season 5 of Duck Dynasty has finished filming.

So how the hell could A&E have "suspended" the racist homophobe? There's nothing to suspend him from until they start working on Season 6.

If I didn't know better, I'd say the network doesn't actually give a flying fuck about raising an asshole to stardom, and is actually just trying to look good while making a fuckton of money off the whole debacle.

He said in an interview in July he wasn't long for the show, and it would go on without him. So, probably was cutting back in the 5th season, and didn't want to do a 6th anyway. He comes across as not giving a shit about the whole enterprise anyway. It's Willie's show, anyway, Phil's just tossed in for "grandpa philosophy".
