The Deal of the Day is a Kindle Deal on 13 Inspiring Books for $1.99 each. That actually translates as "13 books by Paulo Coelho." So if you find him inspiring, this is the sale for you! (Spoiler: The only reason The Alchemist wasn't my daughter's least favorite summer reading in high school was because of Olive Kitteridge.)

Possibly more inspiring Kindle daily deals include Douglas Adams's The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul, Jeff Hirch's The Eleventh Plague, and Earl Monroe's Earl the Pearl: My Story for $1.99 each.

As I mentioned yesterday, the Collections Deal of the Week is on Classic Comedies, which includes huge 60+% discounts on Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Benny Hill, and The Naked City. In spite of my snark over the inclusion of that last one, it is a fabulous crime series, just not a comedy. If you need me to tell you why you should own the first four, you've missed some of the greatest comedy of all time.

The Blu-Ray Deal of the Week is on the Clint Eastwood 40 Film Collection at 56% off. It's $56.99 on Blu-Ray and $79.99 on DVD.

The TV Deal of the Week is on Sparticus Seasons 1-4. It's $65.99 (74% off) on Blu-Ray, $99.49 (50% off) on DVD.

And the Family Deal of the Week is Boy Meets World: Complete Collection for $49.99 (50% off) on DVD.

Other movie/TV Deals: The Star Trek: TNG Motion Picture Collection is $24.32 (58% off) on Blu-Ray. And Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection on Blu-Ray is $55.99 (63% off).

Possibly the best show on TV right now, Person of Interest, can be had cheap on Blu-Ray/DVD combo packs. Season 1 is $32.49 (54% off), and Season 2 is $19.99 (71% off).

In video games, the huge end-of-year Digital Download Sale is still going strong, with a few hundred amazing discounts. All also include the standard $5 credit in January.

One new game of note: Command and Conquer The Ultimate Collection is $4.99 (75% off). Not bad for 17 games.

And if you're one of the lucky folks with a PS4, you can nab Trine 2: Complete Story for $14.99 (25% off).

Amazon's offering $30 off any Kindle Fire HDX with the coupon code SANTAHDX (code is on the page, too, so you don't need to copy it down now)!

This is also the last day of the massive Free One-Day Shipping Sale, so if you haven't done your Christmas shopping (and aren't Greek Orthodox), well, this is the proverbial last minute.

Finally, Amazon Local has a coupon for Starbucks for a Buy 1, Get 1 Free food offer after 2PM! I like a lot of the Starbucks breakfast sandwiches (which they serve at all times of the day), as well as some of the newer pastries.
