1. Yes, you can put a Mac Plus on the web.
2. The Apocalyptic Vision of Sol Yurick, Author of The Warriors.
3. High-tech gizmos from the 1927 version of the CES.
4. There's a grey market in salon hair products. I am a little bit skeptical of some of the claims in the article (for one, the idea that drugstores charge more than salons is plain bullshit in my experience), but the idea that the products might be expired is interesting.
5. Wonder how movie posters get designed? This piece doesn't answer all the questions, but does provide some good insight (covering everything from use of body doubles to why so many imitate each other; the writer calls it "safe directions," which, coincidentally, is indistinguishable from "lazy"). The piece also has some great links.
6. If you've been following the video game criticism scene lately, you'll want to read this amazing (and huge) piece on criticism, hiring, and meanness.
7. There may never be a better video game title than My Twin Brother Made Me Crossdress As Him And Now I Have To Deal With A Geeky Stalker And A Domme Beauty Who Want Me In A Bind!! (yes, the exclamation points are a part of the title).
8. Liz Cheney will not be the next Senator from Wyoming. Okay, we all knew that already, but she's acknowledging it and dropping out of the race.
9. LOL My Thesis translates dissertation titles and concepts into English.
10. Are Racism, Sexism, Etc. Still a Problem These Days? Bet you can guess the answer. So far, only one troll in the comments, which is pretty impressive, given the way these things often go.
