Thanks to the recommendation of tikimama and melintur, we rented Zoolander last night. Damned funny movie, and maybe the best DVD menus I've seen. And tonight there's a new episode of Angel, plus the zillion things we have on Tivo. No new Buffy tomorrow, alas, but that means we can still watch Andy Richter Controls the Universe.

See, I'd be all cheery about new Angel, but it's been *such* an uneven show. I hope it's a good episode.

It'd be a much better show if they'd just get rid of Fred. And Gunn. And Wesley. And Cordelia.

The Skip & Lorne show. That would be a good show. Maybe they could bring Clem over from Buffy.

I forgot to mention Angel himself - was leaving him til the last, but I'm scatterbrained, and oooh, shiny thing over there!

They need to get rid of Angel. Can't stand him. Whiny little bitch-man.

I like Wesley. And Gunn. And Fred as comic relief. Maybe they can have a spin-off show where the three of them go off to kill the evil pigfuckers in Tech Services. I'd pay good money for that.

If Fred got shot in the head, like, a couple dozen times, that's be good comic relief. And it might make Wesley and Gunn watchable again.

Thing is, I like Fred. I just hate the tender moments between her and Gunn. And I hated the whole thing with them making out and then getting caught by the tree. But them having a romance off-screen, with occasional references to it, is cool. And Angel gets good recapping at TVWP, unlike Buffy.

Gunn has grown on me, but I still don't like his character - he needs a good beating. Fred can do whatever she wishes, she's golden. I would, however, like Wesley to die or buy a clue.

Of course, I still love the show even though I often root with the antagonists for fun.

Rooting for the antagonists can be fun. Hell, over on Buffy, I'd love to see a season finale where Jonathan gets an uzi and slaughters the surviving cast members.
