I think SJG is probably Clint's #1 hero, so I called him at school when I heard. Later I was in B&N and I saw the new hardback compilation of all of his Natural History articles/columns, so I bought that for Clint as my going-away present for him.

Damn, and my former roommate was supposed to be researching under Gould in his graduate work. I never knew much about him until a little exposure to The Mismeasure of Man, and then I realized he was a Good Thing. Sigh.
