So, since I went swimming twice during the day this weekend, I managed to get a nasty sunburn. On my shoulders. Which means that I feel it whenever I move my arms. Or pick up the backpack. Or my shirt rubs against my arms. I think the shoulders may be the second worst place to get sunburned.

I got my ass sunburned once.

That was pretty grim.

Do you have some aloe gel? Slather it one and keep doing so - it does speed up the healing process.

I'm so danged fair-skinned that I burn in 15 minutes or less. I don't think I've had much of a burn but once in the years [livejournal.com profile] sambear and I have been together, because he's mr. sunscreen nazi. And that once was because we were sold defective sunscreen, but didn't realize it wasn't working 'til we were halfway down the river on the raft.

I swear by unscented (sensitive skin) noxemna. It works wonders, honestly.

I've heard that the tetanic acid in regular (not decaffinated) tea takes the sting out of a sun burn. That you soak several bags in water and then use the bags themselves to rest on and sooth the burn (don't rub!) Fortunately for me I'm olive skinned and don't burn... Just call me Malibu Barbie!
