Kim Possible
Jun. 30th, 2002 10:08 pmWe'd tivo'd two episodes of this to see if Elayna would like it. She might, but more importantly,
shadesong and I like it. A lot. It's sorta like Spy Kids with an older cast, or (as I told 'song about five minutes into it) Codename Knockout with teenagers, although I doubt Ron will be coming out anytime soon.
Kim's the daughter of a brain surgeon and a rocket scientist, and at the age of sixteen has saved the world all sorts of times, has lots of enemies (most of whom look like they come straight from Freakazoid -- Ricardo Montalban even does a voice), and has to deal with the usual high school problems. It's been pretty damned funny so far.
It doesn't hurt that Bart Simpson is a naked molerat on the show, either. Well, Nancy Cartwright plays one, at least.
And Gary Cole and Jean Smart play the parents, which is a major bonus.
Anyway, it's not the next Animaniacs or Freakazoid, but it's a damned fun cartoon. It's on Disney at 6:30 on Fridays.
