Evolution cartoon

So, as some of you may know, Evolution is one of my favorite underrated movies of 2001. Just a damned fun movie, released at the worst time possible by the studio (if it had been released in October, it would have been a huge hit).

Well, when shadesong and kellinator went shopping last week, they saw Evolution action figures in KB Toys, and it looked like something based on cartoon. I went online, and I can only find the figures at amazon (not at KB), but with no other information. And google searches for something like "evolution and cartoon" are tough, because of the X-Men cartoon and the sheer volume of rot put out from the anti-evolutionary "humorists" out there.

But I figure someone here will know: is there an Evolution tv show, or was the show axed before hitting the air (as with the Atlantis show), and the figures just dumped on the market?

The reason I said that is that I have not heard anything in the pipeline about figures for the abovementioned property... no intention to cast doubt upon your identification skill. :)
