More eBay silliness
Jul. 8th, 2002 08:33 pmSo, about a week ago, I sold an Apple "Shop Different" shirt on eBay for $8.50 (started at $2.99, and had five bids).
As soon as that auction ended, I put my other "Shop Different" shirt up for auction. Same exact descirption and photo, same starting bid.
It solsd today for $21.50.
Weird.
Both shirts were free swag, too.
In other eBay news, of the remaining adult shirts, the Ranma and Sailor moon ones sold at their minimum ($8.99 and $6.99, repectively) at the last minute. The Sandman and Dragoncon shirts remain unsold. I may wait a week or two and then relist.
Of the remaining kid stuff, six out of the nineteen items that we had to relist currently have bids, with less than a day left. So it was definitely worth the hassle of relisting, but I wish we'd gotten more bids, anyway.
And in other news, eBay bought Paypal today. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Date: 2002-07-08 06:37 pm (UTC)i guess eBay is following the Micro$oft business model -- "if you can't beat them, buy them." they realized no-one liked their billpay thingy, so they simply acquired the one everyone uses.
i just hope they don't screw it up...
