Don't know fer fact, but I've heard it has a pleasant effect on the taste of a woman as well as the taste of a mans... Hmmmm, ummmm, yeah, rhymes with Umm! =)
UNFORTUNATELY, and I do lament this fact, but that IS NOT ME, nor my bra. Just the coolest picture, and I sooooo want to own one! This icon is the real me! Sorry to disappoint! But as a consolation prize I added you as a friend, this was too much fun! =)
I've never had pineapple juice any way but straight and in pina coladas. Given how much I love the stuff, I do need to find other mixed drinks using it.
Malibu and pineapple juice is the nectar of the gods. :-) Kind of like sunshine in a glass.
Then again, I am of the school that believes Malibu Makes It Better. Cherry ginger ale/7Up, Coke, Cherry Coke, etc. Mmm, Malibu.
That said, I do need to augment my liquor collection. Right now, it consists of one mega-bottle Malibu (7/8 full), one bottle brandy, one bottle clear creme de menthe (the preceding two being the makings of stingers, mmm), one bottle Bailey's, one bottle Godiva licqeur, and a bunch of bottles of wine--a couple of German rieslings, plus about 6 bottles from a Maryland winery. Problem with wine is that I can rarely finish a bottle before it goes off, since I have to drink alone. Oh, forgot to mention the 9 remaining Mike's Hard Lemonades. Nothing like finding fun liquor on sale at the grocery store. :-)
My answer? Not Enough! I need to acquire the makings of Cosmopolitans, because I have a craving. The house I used to live in has a bar in the basement, and my then-roommate keeps it well stocked.
Vodka, triple sec (Cointreau, if you're feeling well-off), cranberry juice. Shaken w/ ice, served in a martini glass w/ a lemon or lime twist (preferably swiped around the rim/inside of the glass first). It's a very nice drink--light enough to be summery, but still a real cocktail. Some have called it the "stealth martini." Does tend to sneak up on you if you overindulge....though I've never actually done that w/ cosmos.
Hotwired's Cocktail site (http://hotwired.lycos.com/cocktail/) gives the recipe as: 2 ounces vodka, 1 ounce Cointreau, 1/2 ounce lime juice, and 1 splash cranberry juice
