So, today is Ebay day part two (I listed about 25 items one day last week, but that was when I had Warcraft to worry about), as well as Move Shit to the Shed day. My goal is to at least attempt to make my room usable. So far, it's been okay. I found two more boxes of books for Elayna, thus undoing all the hard work of yesterday, of course. :-) I've got a ton of stuff for the shed, for the Salvation Army, and for Book Nook. I can see floorspace I haven't seen in months. :-)

In other news, I finally talked Elayna into letting me try The Phantom Tollbooth as her bedtime story last night. It was like pulling teeth (although given how loose her teeth are, that's a bad analogy). By chapter two, she was hooked, and she was psyched to bring it to school today. :-)

And VH1 Classic has a new show -- Metal Mania. They've got the usual suspects (Alice Cooper, the Crüe, etc), but they also have such superstars as, well, Helix. I can only hope they add a punk show as well.

Well, as soon as punk begins to enjoy the same ironically renewed popularity as metal, I'm sure VH1 will be all over that shit.

Didn't see the band you listed (haven't had a chance to research the whole VH1 site yet) but there's quite a number that I liked way back when ... Whitesnake, Ratt, Metallica, Judas Priest, Quiet Riot, Def Leppard, Poison. Seems to me I recall watching a few episodes of Where Are They Now or Behind The Music (or one of those) where they covered a bunch of the Metal bands. It was a pretty good show, too.

VH1 Classic manages to find all sorts of obscure bands, along with the mainstream ones. I've seen videos by all the ones you've named in the last day or so (of course, we have the Poison video DVD).
