So, last night jet_li_wannabe and I went over to voltbang and rloveking's place, and voltbang and I played our first Blood Bowl League game. Well, we only played one half. It's a long game, and I'm still learning the rules. At the end of the half, he was up 1-0, thanks to the Clusterfuck touchdown (between us, we got about six horrendous roles in a matter of minutes). Lots of fun (and Chinese food) was had, and we may have found the fourth for the league, as well. Now the quest for a second board begins.

Oh, and for those wondering, my team consists of Chaos Dwarves, and voltbang has chosen Orcs. jet_li_wannabe is still undecided.

Upon getting home, I discovered that something I'd eaten (probably pre-Chinese) had realyl disagreed with me. This meant I didn't get much sleep or comfort during the night, so I took the day off from work.

Slept in the morning, then heard the news about Paul Wellstone. Which sucks. One of the few politicians with balls, and he's gone in a flash.

Slept more, played a little more Diablo, read a lot, watched last week's Sopranos. Got a phone call from school saying that Elayna was hurt, but when I talked to her, she seemed okay, and neither she nor the nurse thought she should come home early. But it's still scare to get that sort of phone call.

Watched a little VH1 classic and ESPN highlights of the World Series game last night. And now we're up to date!

I saw, but I don't recall where, I have to try and hunt it down, a web site that you could print out the game board in pieces and then paste it to a piece of cardboard. Once we have the board, all we would need is two teams. Teams are available on e-bay and on some web gaming stores. Alternately, the boxed set is available at those same on-line stores, but that would give us two more teams of orcs and humans, which we already have. Yet a third option, they are rereleasing the game next month, we coudl hold off and see if the new boxed set has different teams, and buy whichever teams we like at the games workshop store up at discover mills. That one takes the most patience, as we don't know if the new stuff hits the store nov1 or nov15 or nov 30.

I hate those calls. They come in surges with a toddler. Two in one day was the worst.

Sorry the food got you, that place has usually been good to us.
