laurel's TV Picks site, I found this nifty article about the small town trend that's gotten so popular on tv (although the implication that it's something new is a bit odd -- within the last ten years, we've had Twin Peaks, Northern Exposure, Picket Fences, etc). But it's still a nifty read. And, better yet, it quotes somebody named Bill Goodykoontz. Dave Barry sits and prays for days for guys with names like Bill Goodykoontz to appear in newspaper articles.
