Kidling weirdness

So, this morning, I was, as always, packing lunches for Elayna and shadesong, and since Elayna had woken up early, she was helping me. When I asked her for a Coke for shadesong's lunch, she asked if I meant "Coca-Cola or Diet Coke with Lemon." I asked for the former, explaining that only I drink the latter. After putting her lemonade in her lunch bag, she turned to me and said:

"That means we have two things in common: We both like lemon drinks, and we're both white."

Um. Gee. Yeah.

'cuz those are certainly the first things that come to my mind.
