Well, the good news is, no throwing up today. Hooray!
The bad news is, that's about all that's changed.
After getting the lunched packed away, taking out the trash (PAIN!), and doing the dishes (STUPID!), I hit the bed.
I slept the morning away, woke up at around noon, decided to opt for extra-strength Excedrin instead of Advil, and washed it down with some water. Other than a glass of Coke (we had no ginger ale, but I wanted something carbonated for my tummy) and a small pumpkin muffin that took me two hours to eat, I've had nothing caloric all day. Have imbibed plenty of water, though. But my tummy still screams "caution" at the idea of anything solid.
So, after getting a few calories and some medicine, I stumbled over to the couch, where I watched the penultimate episode of this season's Sopranos. By the end, the sun had gotten into position to reflect right off the tv, so I read a little bit, then proceeded to doze off.
For three hours.
Which leads us to now. As of five minutes ago, my fever dropped from 99.7 (right after I woke up at midnight) to 99.4 (although it was at 97.4 when I went to bed last night). I no longer have the chills, per se, but my thermostat does seem to be bouncing from "hot" to "cold" pretty regularly. Most fo the muscle aches are still there, as is the headache (mainly in the temples). The nausea seems mostly gone, but I haven't exactly been tempting it.
The moral of all this is simple: Lying down is good. Anything else sucks. I intend to go practice lying down until I've mastered it.
