I won't re-type it -- see

for a list of the X-Mas haul we all got.

Of course, Elayna, immediately after opening everything, went to play with Harlan and Scott's X-Box (she's becoming a Baldur's Gate addict, although the Spidey Game is my favorite (I think Bruce Campbell does some of the voices).

Today was fun. Been up for two hours. Have drunk lots of coffee. Am suitably hyper. There will be quiche later, which, in another attempt to prove I'm not a Real Man, I adore (I was also the only one who could complete the chorus of Mama Mia when [livejournal.com profile] shadesong got stuck).

Yesterday, we saw Treasure Planet, which was fun. Not great, but there was nothing obscenely wrong with it (other than a Goo-Goo Doll song stuck into the middle of it -- putting a Goo-Goo Doll song in any movie is sorta like covering a picture of a beautiful woman with dog shit, but more revolting). It just didn't sparkle as much as some other Disney flicks. I think a part of it was getting my head around their implementation of steampunk, which took a Space 1899 approach to things, without ever providing a reason. But it was still fun. Highly recommended, if only because Disney should be encouraged to make films like this instead of *gag* Jungle Book 2 (starring Haley Joel Osment!).

Anyway, off to enjoy more X-Mas cheer (or X-Box cheer, if no one else is playing).
