Unintentional superstitions

yendiSo, I went to the supermarket yesterday, only really intending to buy Cheerios and coffee creamer. But, as always, I ended up browsing and buying lots of stuff. Including veggies and pitas. I went home, made a pita sandwich with some fillings, and only after logging back onto LJ did I realize that I'd inadvertently honored a tradition, as one of the pita fillings I used was a can of black-eyed peas.
And today, I woke up with a nasty pain in my neck (insert joke here) whenever I turn it to the left.
"Good luck" my ass!
So now, off to get a desperately-needed haircut. Let's hope the barber doesn't cut my ear off.
