First, Tivo is implementing some nifty networking features. The best part -- all of this will work with Rendezvous technology. At some point, I see an upgrade happening. :-)

Second, FAO Schwartz has declared bankruptcy. :-( I know they were obscenely overprices, and I can't imagine buying anything that's not an FAO exclusive from them, but their stores are so nifty. They're not closing all of their stores, but a bunch will be shut down.

And within LJ, check out this pseudo-spam posted by [livejournal.com profile] gothwalk. It was an amusing start to my morning.

Anyway, no real news to report other than that. Was asleep hella early last night, and am now busy as a bee would be if it didn't have a hive mind and actually had work that made it think.

FAO? You're kidding! They're... an institution, man!

Oh, I hope they stay in business. I think they're the only local place to get Steif plush toys and Gene dolls. :P Admittedly, the Atlanta store isn't exactly the bee knees in comparison to some of their other stand-alone stores elsewhere in the country, but it *is* an FAO.

Well, at least there are some cool independent toy stores in Atlanta. :)

Not FAO Schwartz, just FAO (parent company). This means that Zany-Brainy is at risk, too.... *ARG*
