If you hadn't figured it out already, Elayna is seven. The fact that she likes Lilo and Stich, Spy Kids 2, and ET, therefore, should not mean that she'd also like Signs, The Road to Perdition, and XXX. Trust me on this one.

Bear in mind, my son is 8 loves the kids movies too, but also loves Aliens, Hellraiser and Predator...kids!

True -- I think I was 8 when I saw my first Friday the Thirteenth flick. But it's definitely not her sort of thing (when we were going through our Greek Myth faze last year, she told me after the story of Perseus that she didn't want to hear about any more monsters like Medusa). I think that the two Spy Kids movies had a lot to do with skewing things -- they implied she was a Robert Rodriguez fan, and then went from there.

Actually, her favorite costume at DragonCon last year was a damned good Predator suit. :-)

heh. That kinda sounds like my fault. I've got movies like The Secret of Nimh, Jim Henson's Bunny Picnic (Bean!!!), but also the complete Nightmares on Elm Street collection.

*nod* I think the problem is, there are a lot of adults who also enjoy "kids" movies, and Amazon can't differentiate well enough yet.
