You know, I'd previously thought that if we go to war, Congressmen who vote in favor of the war should be on the frontlines.

Let's add Hallmark executives to that list, okay?

Happy Valentine's Day, for those who think it's a good thing.

Now, that is something Cafe Press could get into....custom cards, and with a little forethought we could make some REALLY cool artwork for the VD holiday....

Random Sidenote:
Did you know.....that out of the 435 Representatives and 100 Senators, only ONE of these people have a child in the Armed Forces.

I didn't know this till last week. The lobbyist (atleast I think that's her job) at the client my boss has me at currently was in DC last week to visit our rep's and she came back with that tidbit.
Was doing some hunting on line to verify the number of Reps(I had it stuck in my head that it was 465 for some reason even though I knew it was wrong) and came across a page that was talking about the number of Representatives in Congress and how many people they represent. Was an interesting read....seems that in 1790 each rep was covering about 37,000 people, and in 1910(only signifigant because thats when they capped the House at 435) were covering about 211,000 people. If they held at the 1790 rate we'd have 2,485 reps, and at the 1910 rate we'd have 1,303 reps. I dunno about you, but a House of Reps that large would be facinating to watch...if only to watch them constantly trip over themselves and never get anything done(hmm...not such a bad idea?)

Just random tidbits....
